Sr Phil O’Shea csb Solas Bhride and Councillor Councillor Fintan Brett, Cathoirleach of Kildare County Counci presenting keynote speaker Adi Roche founder and CEO of the Chernobyl Children’s Project International, with the Brigid Flame for her work for peace and justice. The event took place at Market Square in Kildare to commemorate 30 years since the re-kindling of the Brigid Flame. Adi was the keynote speaker at the AfrI  30th Féile Bríde Conference Darkness, Dawning, Light.

Sister Anna Carey

Sr Anna Carey was very well-known for her work in Hospice ministry.  She was co-founder of St. Joseph's Hospice in Port Elizabeth. The annual award ongoing since 2014 has been established in her memory reflecting her values of devotion, dedication and commitment.
